Q: What happens with a broken bale?
A: Sometimes a one string bale will make it into the chamber and the Bale Baron continues to operate normally. If both strings are missing, the overload alarm would be activated to warn the operator. The broken bales are easily and quickly removed off the rotary table.
Q: Are there any photo cells on the Bale Baron?
A: We use mechanical limit switches for all integral auto functions. There is only one photo cell on the Bale Baron which acts as an overload indicator and will not shut the operation of the machine down if it malfunctions.

Q: Can I handle the bundles with a spear or pallet fork?
A: When using a pallet fork or spear ( with a minimum of 3 tines ) you have to go under the bundle or between the 1st or 2nd layer. When going under the bundle the forks can catch dirt contaminating the hay. Spearing between the layers can be a challenge on uneven ground and at night. Also when stacking high it is hard to remove the spear or pallet fork and lave the stack intact.
Q: What is the cost of twine?
A: One ball of twine with 4,000 ft will do 40 bundles or 840 small squares. At a cost of $31.00 per ball of twine the cost would be 3.7 cents per bale.
